It’s All About Voting LIBERTY, February 17, 2008 – After George W. Bush was elected in the last election Republicans and the issue of “Hanging Chads” in Florida had to be dealt with. So, Washington legislators in their wisdom gave us electronic voting machines at tremendous expense. Well, let’s fast forward to today and the thinking now is that the issue of voting machines needs to be revisited. You see the voting machines currently in use have no paper trail and suddenly Washington legislators don’t like that. So, they are pondering the thought of going back to a system of paper ballots like we used to use all the time. Go figure. But there is another issue concerning voting that is raising its’ ugly head. Some suspect voter fraud and want to take steps to disenfranchise some voters. Some in the State Legislature advocate having a person show a driver’s license in order to vote, A voter registration card being just not good enough. Early voting in the Republican and Democratic Primaries to be held on March 4, 2008 will start this week on Tuesday, February 19, 2008. But, take a moment and view the video below as to how our State Legislators handle the concept of, “One person, one vote."
