US Census Bureau Releases Poverty Figures

LIVINGSTON, January 9, 2008 – According to the US Census Bureau, The Polk County median income is between $30,270 to $35,672. 

These figures are compiled from the Census Bureau’s 2005 poverty survey of the United States released today.

According to the bureau, 19.1 percent of Polk County lives in poverty.  This poverty figure is a total sum calculating all ages.
