Help for Texans Without Health Insurance

LIVINGSTON, January 15, 2008 Quality and Cost are the two biggest issues in the field of health insurance.  1 in 4 Texans don’t have health insurance.  There is help out there for Texans who need help and/or don’t have health insurance at all.  There’s a web site that has been created by the Texas Health Care Policy Council and the Texas Department of Insurance to help Texans understand and compare their health care options.  The website features links to state, federal and non-profit web sites that answer questions regarding health plans, hospitals, long-term care and physicians.

This website will provide links to important information like comparing data based on quality of care, costs, performance provided by Texas health professionals, facilities, and health care plans and options.

The web site is: www.texashealthoptions.com
