Mixed Reaction on the Gas Front
HOUSTON, February 15, 2008 - The statewide average price remained relatively stable compared to last week’s average, according to the AAA Texas Weekend Gas Watch.
The Texas average rose five tenths of a penny to $2.87 a gallon.
"Six of the eleven cities posted increases while five other areas showed decreases," said AAA Texas spokesperson Rose Rougeau. "With inventories of oil and gas up, it is too early to tell which direction retail gas prices will head."
Corpus Christi has the lowest average again at $2.78 a gallon, down three cents. The Amarillo area has the highest average on the list at $2.92 a gallon, up four cents.
