“One Chance”

LIBERTY, January 6, 2008 - I ordered a few audio CD’s that didn’t arrive before the holiday. They came in this week and today I put one of them in the computer and loaded it into iTunes. It was the CD of Paul Potts, “One Chance.”

Paul’s story is one of an humble, common man working in a cell phone store called “Cell Phone Warehouse,” who was discovered on the British talent show called, “Britain’s Got Talent.” The counterpart of this show in the US is “American Idol.” Listening to Paul Potts is an uplifting experience. The man has an incredible voice that all would appreciate.

The first three tracks on the CD, Time to Say Goodbye, (Con Te Partiro), Nessun Dorma and Amapola are outstanding.

Another popular song Paul sings on the CD is You Raise Me Up, (Por Ti Sere). This song was also recorded by the Inspirational Group Selah in English on their CD, “Hiding Place.” It’s nice to hear both versions in both English and Italian.

One other song of interest on “One Chance,” is the song My Way, (A Mi Manera), performed in Italian, and made popular by Frank Sinatra.

If you’re looking for an encouraging and uplifting musical experience then I recommend the CD, “One Chance,” by Paul Potts.
