Sydney Murphy files for Commissioner Precinct 1 LIVINGSTON, December 7, 2007 – Sydney Murphy filed as a candidate for election to Polk County’s Precinct One Commissioner today.

She will begin campaigning by contacting community leaders to share her vision of better management of county assets and stronger communication with Polk County residents.

“While I’m pleased with the general direction of county government, there’s room for improvement in Precinct One,” Murphy said.

“Communication between the commissioner and the residents of Precinct One will be my priority.  I have always wanted to contribute to my community by serving in elected office and believe now is the right time to put my skills to work for the people of Polk County”.

Sydney Murphy has been married to her husband Matt for 26 years and they have three children.
