Livingston to Host 8th Annual Multicultural Festival LIVINGSTON, January 8, 2008 – The 8th annual Multicultural Festival will be honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on January 21st starting at 5:00 pm at the Livingston High School Auditorium. Some of the highlights of the festival will include:
Entertainment will feature Glenn Lenderman, the Livingston Honors Choir, Dennis Ivey Band of Crockett, Performances by the Alabama Coushatta Nation, the Ayubu Sacred Afrikan Drum & Dance Society, and Entertainment by representatives of all cultures. Voter registration cards and assistance will be available at the festival sponsored by Polk County Tax Assessor/Collector, Bid Smith. Additionally, there will be fish fry and all families are invited to a catfish dinner with all the trimmings. If you wish, shine with pride and help add Zesto to the occasion by wearing your native clothing! Come on out and enjoy a fun filled evening of festivities with many of our community leaders and citizens from all walks of life. Our diversity is one of our society’s greatest strengths.
